How grading works

Does the minimum time guarantee a grading?

No. These are minimum training periods before a student may be considered for grading. The instructor decides when a student is ready, based on class performance and consistent participation.

When does the training period start?

For yellow belt, the minimum is six months from the start of training. For every rank after yellow, the listed minimum period is measured from the previous belt.

Can grading timelines vary?

Some instructor courses may affect grading timelines. Younger students or students who train less frequently may need more time.

Your journey starts in class.
