Certified by Levinsky-Wingate Academic College

Our instructors hold Israeli instructor licences issued through the Levinsky-Wingate Academic College in Israel. Learn more about the college and its programs through the links below.

The college was formed in March 2022 by the merger of two long-standing schools: Levinsky College of Education, operating since 1912, and Wingate Academic College, operating since 1944. Its Wingate campus in Netanya is the physical-education side of the college — it grants the bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate in physical education, master’s degrees in sport training sciences, and runs the college’s certification programs.

Governed by K.A.M.I. — the Israeli Krav Magen Association

We operate under K.A.M.I. (Krav Magen Israeli), the association in Israel that owns, develops and governs the K.A.M.I. system worldwide. It was founded in 1989 by Eli Avikzar, the first person in the world to earn a black belt in Krav Maga, who headed the Israel Defense Forces’ Krav Maga section for twelve years. Since his death in 2004 the association has been led by Grand Master Avi Abeceedon — a red belt, Dan 10, and the first black belt Avikzar ever awarded.

Being a branch means our syllabus, our grading and our belt requirements are not ours to invent. Ranks earned on our mat are association ranks, and they are recognized at any K.A.M.I. branch in Israel or anywhere else in the world.

The system we teach

K.A.M.I. is built on the natural movements of the human body, and it is designed to be simple, fast and efficient. The method is structured in three parts, and four principles run underneath all of them.

Grading here follows the K.A.M.I. syllabus, so a belt earned in Vaughan is an association rank. It is recognized at any K.A.M.I. branch in Israel or anywhere else in the world.
